When you are in Stockholm you just have to go shopping. That’s because there are all kinds of shops and boutiques offering you well-made unique Swedish craftsmanship at a very high quality as well as more ordinary commodities. To shop is easy since there are many shops within walking distance in Stockholm city. The main shopping street is Drottninggatan where you can find lots of smart shops offering all kind of goods.
At Östermalm you will find more fashionable and excellent shops, many located in the pleasant Sturegallerian. Another street of interest is Biblioteksgatan where many exclusive shops, art galleries and small antique shops are gathered.
For those interested in department stores you can find all you wish in two of Stockholm’s oldest department stores namely PUB at Hötorget and NK at Hamngatan. NK with commodities mostly in a more exclusive range. Both PUB and NK are open seven days a week.
And when you are going to shop in Stockholm don’t miss the Old town (Gamla stan). Here you find a lot of countless handicraft shops, antique stores, souvenir shops, cosy cafés and restaurants.
